How does Local Government in Devon Spend YOUR Taxes. Are they clear and Accountable ?

OUR MISSION:

Empowering Devon residents to see where their taxes are spent & decide if they deliver Value For Money

What information does the Government say MUST BE PUBLISHED regularly?

The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 states that ALL COUNCILS MUST publish details of their spending over £500 on either a MONTHLY basis (Best Practice) or QUARTERLY (MINIMUM STANDARD) basis. There are exceptions for "sensitive" ionformation e.g childen in protective care etc. but for "typical" transactions e.g a council pays a contractor to do a grass cut, then this will appear in the published information

The Local Government Association goes on to say that this information must be published in way which is easy for the public to understand

BUT IS IT ????  We propose to guide you to make your OWN decision

.

Its time to question your local and county Councillors as to how they are delivering value  for money and transparency when they spend YOUR MONEY !!!
