Devon County Council follows the best practice by publishing its over £500 data on a monthly basis.

The Bad News : We BELIEVE that the figures are NOT easy to understand - someone once described them as being HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT. In a typical month there will be several thousand lines of spreadsheet in the DCC monthly figures. We have provided a demo of how you can download these figures please click on the link below
In summary all you will end up with is an excel spreadhsheet with several thousand lines of data. So are you are an "Excel Spreadsheet Wizard" who is confident to merge lots of data then summarise it and drill down on it ? if you are a typical "Joe Public" - we suggest the answer may be a resounding NO !!
If this is the case it is our OPINION that the councils are failing in the requirement to make the information easy for the public to understand.
